This May, the FCCWP Board of Outreach and Social Justice is excited to announce partnership with Annabel's Closet, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential household items for families who are in the process of relocating to escape domestic violence. This collaboration aims to support those who are seeking a fresh start and a safer environment for themselves and their children.
In light of this, we are launching an initiative to collect a variety of items that Annabel's Closet has identified as critically needed for families in transition. These items play a vital role in helping individuals establish a sense of normalcy and comfort in their new homes during such a challenging time.
Among the essential items that are especially needed are:
toasters
kitchen knives
can openers
kitchen utensils such as spatulas, slotted spoons, and regular spoons.
These items may seem simple, but they are fundamental in equipping families with the tools they need to prepare meals and create a nurturing home environment.
We encourage everyone in our community to contribute to this worthy cause by donating. Donations can be dropped into the designated bin located in Fellowship Hall, where we will be collecting these items throughout the month of May.
Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of those who are striving to rebuild their lives after experiencing domestic violence.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can help provide a sense of hope and stability for those who are starting anew. Thank you for your kindness and support in this important initiative.
