On September 29, more than fifty church members gathered in Fellowship Hall after church to pack meals for US Hunger. There was fun music, kids dancing and lots of great fellowship. We even got to taste a sample of the Red Lentil Jambalaya meal we were assembling - it was delicious. Best of all, by working together we assembled an impressive 10,320 meals in less than 2 hours!
The meal packets were then given to United Against Poverty Orlando, a local organization whose food pantry provides emergency food assistance to families in need. If you missed the fun, this is an annual event for our church so we'd love to have you participate next year!
