First Congregational Church of Winter Park offers a wide variety of programs and activities for people of all ages. In addition, we constantly strive to modify or adapt our programming to meet the needs of our congregation, our friends and guests. Activities for youth are outlined below.
W.I.N.G.S. (Worth, Insight, Nurture, Goals, Spirit) - For youth in grades 7-12, the W.I.N.G.S. group meets most Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. during the school year. We begin with a shared meal, then break into smaller groups by age for spiritual, outreach and social activities with friends. Youth and Graduate Sundays - In the fall our W.I.N.G.S. youth lead worship with innovative and exciting programming. In the spring all those graduating from high school are invited to preach.
Outreach and Community Service - We provide opportunities for youth to engage in outreach and community service projects throughout the year.
Summer Youth Mission Experience - For the past three years we have visited the Door of Faith Orphanage located in Baja, Mexico. We We work on building projects and child and infant care. Hands on experiences provide youth with opportunities
for spiritual growth.
Confirmation and Youth Studies - Confirmation is the completion of baptism. Youth study for nine months, learning about their faith, other faiths, their church and denomination. Registration and other forms are required for participation

Youth Bible Study - Youth Bible study takes place twice per month on scheduled Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. On special Sundays our 9th -12th grade youth remain in church. Joyful Noise! and Art & Spirit Wednesdays - These programs occur on Wednesday evenings during the school year. Both Joyful Noise! and Art & Spirit Wednesdays revolve around our favorite activity--a pot-luck dinner and fellowship! Joyful Noise! Wednesday evenings include times for youth choir, liturgical dance, and Bible study. One Wednesday each month we break from our routine and have Art & Spirit Wednesday, which includes a special program for youth.
Retreats and Florida Conference Events - Our youth participate with youth from across Florida at UCC Florida Conference summer camps. During the school year they attend youth weekend retreats and trips.
